Plans, plans, preparations, expectations, dreams, shit, shit, and at the end ... mega shit :))) still fun though
The plan was a four day trip in Wales trad climbing and camping, but because the weather FORECAST wasn't good we ended up going for a day to Parisella's cave. I was complaining all day as I knew it's not going to rain at all...
Anyway was pleased to try something hard as I haven't touched real rock for ages, especially something steep. I visited the famous boulder cave last year and it has stayed in my mind as a greasy hole full of chipped and polished holds; loads of gym-like problems, link-ups and many people hanging from the roof. Not the perfect place.
This was last year.
But I tried to stay positive and grateful for what I have after all the term-time desperation. After a good warm up and few easy problems I got on the most aesthetic line with just three drilled holds - Lou Ferrino 7C+ Dialling all the moves took me about an hour, and after few desperate tries my skin got really soft and I took a rest to sketch and explore the stony beach. After the lunch brake I could give it a few good tries falling at the final hard moves. The climb can be summarized as slapping the belly of a whale; most of the moves are violent throws, ripping the skin; compressiooOOOn- my style. I was getting really psyched, but another surprise came- we had to leave... just 4 o'clock...
I couldn't stop being angry about everything....Myself, the people, the forecast,... The money that were supposed to be enough for four days camping went for petrol...just for a 5 hours shitty bouldering session :))) aAAaa Now I'm broke so I guess I'll stick with training in the gym and waiting for the summer....
